Reviewing the Home Inspection Report:

When you review a home inspection report, it’s important to remember that no house is perfect—even brand-new homes will have minor flaws or areas that need attention. The key is to distinguish between typical, manageable imperfections and issues that could be costly or impact your safety and comfort. Expect to see notes about small repairs or routine maintenance; these are normal and often easy to address. Focus your attention on any major concerns, such as structural problems, outdated electrical systems, or significant water damage, and discuss with your Realtor which items are reasonable to accept and which might require negotiation or further investigation. Understanding what’s truly important versus what’s simply part of homeownership will help you make a confident, informed decision.
